PowerBook Shuts Off When I Unplug It

You have a dead battery. A dead battery can manifest itself in many forms: It may not accept a charge, the computer may not recognize the battery, or the battery may be recognized as charged but fail to power your computer when the AC adapter is unplugged. Time to replace the battery. See some tips below.

    New N Airport Routers

    This just in. Clients with original AirPort cards in iBooks and G4 Towers are finding that any AirPort Extreme-N basestation that is setup to use WPA/WPA2 does not allow them a connection. Miss Mac notes that it might be prudent to use WEP until that is cleared up.

    SBC Email - Time is Running Out

    If SBC is your internet provider you must update your email settings. This is due to SBC's change over to AT&T and is only necessary if you are using Mac Mail, Entourage or Eudora. If you go to the web to collect your mail you are not affected. The instructions are tricky and if you need my help, let me know.
