Since the majority of computers used in the world are PC's, most web designers concentrate on how well their site will look using Microsofts Internet Explorer. However as of 1/31/2006. Microsoft is no long supporting its browser and you will not be able to download any more . Since many online banks and other financial institutions insist their site can only be accessed using Internet Explorer., you can contact me as I have a copy of it and we can install it when we do your tuneup. |

Don't be dismayed if you are still using Mac operating system 8 or 9 and are a die hard Netscape user. You can have both browsers on your machine and use either for surfing the information highway. Any versions 4.79 and below are completely outdated now. Netscape now has its Version 6.2.3 which works well and you can Download Netscape Version 6.2.3 here. It will automatically start the download. The newer version 7.0.2 is working much better than when it first came out and you can download Version 7.0.2 here. That download too will start automtically as well. You will need to create an AIM account. Just think of any name and password to get by this. Unfortunately, these are your only options. The internet is outdated for system OS 9. Your computer may be able to support the new OSX operating system. See the requirements here. Or call Miss Mac at 454-7253 and we can go over other alternatives. If you are using American Online to get to the internet, you will get better results after signing on if you open Netscape instead of using AOL's built-in browser. If any of this is confusing to you, call Miss Mac and I can help you install extra browsers and show you how to use them. You'll also want this, the newest version of Outlook Express (5.06) if that is the mail program you are using. Back to Top |
